TASK 1: RESEARCH
TASK 1:
For this task we had to do a 500 word research task about collaborative art. I chose to write about a couple called Hari and Deepti. I researched these artists because I thought the lightbox style of work they do is interesting and not something you see to much of anymore as it takes a lot of time and planning. Overall I'm happy with the choice of this couple because I enjoyed learning about their individual skills that they both have in order to be able to complete the final pieces we see.
TASK 2: SKILL SHARE - PART 1
FINAL DOCUMENT:

For this task we had to create something that shared a skill we have with the aim to make it as simple and easy for someone to follow. I chose to explain the basics of how to use a DSLR camera. My first attempt at this I made 3 A4 documents. I found that the way I did this layout was quite messy to look at. This is why I simplified it down into on A3 document that has numbered sections to follow instead of messy arrows everywhere. I was happy with the overall information I included so I think just correcting a couple of spelling mistakes and creating this new layout really helped make my work clearer for whoever reads it.
TASK 3: SKILL SHARE - PART 2
For this task we had to make someone else's skill share that we made last week. I ended up making the origami heart that Briony did. Her instructions where precise and very clear. I found it easy to make and I had a lot of fun doing it. I'd say this is something that almost anyone can follow.

TASK 4: OUR HOMES ARE A MUSEUM
REAL DOCUMENT
FINAL COPY:

For the project we all discussed and decided the theme would be “what makes me, me” We chose objects or things that make up our identity /make us feel more like ourselves. I helped the others create a photoshop document to combine all this together. We kept the design quite simple with black and white text as this allowed us all to be able to work on the document and make it clear/simple for everyone to use and add to. We all had our own style with our images, mine where black and white; Chantelle’s having a stylised filter on them and Racheal’s edited to be more desaturated and fit her antiques in the images. We did decide to mix these images up and have one of each of ours in a row as this breaks up the work and allows you to see the variation and change between all of our images.
TASK 5: ISSUES ZERO
FINAL PRINT:

For the project we did a task using newspapers and magazines to create a title for this page. I chose the title " feeling ordinary" and planned to make it themed the opposite and be more based around alternative things. To design this I first did the title page that I printed in black which I Think was very effective. I made this title look as if the tattoo gun was drawing out the text which I think was a nice extra element to this page. I deigned the background page by getting random pictures of things I associate with being out of the norms of society. This I printed in red as I think the contrast between the two really works. I had never used the Risograph before so it was a very useful and fun project to do. I did 2 designs this being one of them and I think I love this as the final design.
TASK 6: PUBLICATION

.jpg)

For this group project we had to create a book with a minimum of 20 pages. I worked with: briony, Chantelle, Racheal and Sarah. As a group we first of all planned to do our own personal calendar and and do a themed double page based of each month. This then turned into us changing our idea and making it our favourites dates. This would then be a more personal sort of diary style book which we all thought was a really good idea. For my section I picked my favourites dates/ days that meant a lot to me. For example the first one I did was the day I got my first tattoo, it was a big deal to me because I had been planning it since I was a kid. The second date I picked was my birthday that was during lockdown and I went on a nice nature walk with my parents, it was a nice memory and the last one was the day I got my dog, he is like one of the family. Overall this was quite a difficult process because we all had to figure out how to use the programme InDesign. None of my group had ever used it before so piecing all the pages together was the hardest part for our group as well easily created/picked the artwork that we wanted to use. Me and Sarah between us managed to figure out the programme the best and we all somehow managed to make this layout, which overall I really liked. I think we worked well as group to create this layout and all of our work came together nicely and didnt look out of place next to eachothers.
