Lynn G. Fayman: A colourful life - Online Exhibition

This exhibition celebrates the life of film maker/ photographer Lynn G. Fayman. This photographer experimented with different processes and materials to see what different effects he could get. He mainly explored colour, shape and light.

The thing I like the most about his work is the different vibrant patterns and colours. Each one of is pieces are very different from one another and i like the way his work is mostly his experimentation and that he doesn't always know how his work is going to turn out. I also like working like this so this is why I was originally attracted to his work and his art.

I love the different shapes and patterns that are in his work as they are so interesting to look at and they are all so different from each other.

He used the process of kodak Flexichrome. This helped to create vibrant and colourful images. He used this to create more abstracted pieces that are more similar to paintings rather than traditional photography. His talent also extended to motion picture film making and he even partnered with Theodore Geisel (Dr Sues) to illustrate three children's books.

These are some pictures taken by somebody that visited the gallery when the exhibition was in the museum of photographic arts. I thought I would pick an older exhibition that was being re-uploaded for a modern audience to view as that is what the world of art is all about consuming all different types of art form all different time periods. I decided that I would pick an older exhibition to look at as Covid made it difficult for me to go to an actual exhibition and I wanted to make sure I looked at an artist I liked instead of just picking a random persons work to look at.
When I can go to an actual exhibition I will look into more photographers as well as artist. I enjoy including photography within my art so I thought it would be nice to look one for this task. I know I probably should have pick a more modern/contemporary artists exhibition but I found this one really interesting and enjoyed the idea that old work from older exhibitions can be reshown to a different and more modern audience. Overall when I find an exhibition I like the look of and when the Covid restrictions are less strict I will visit an actual exhibition.
