Screen Printing:

After getting used to the process we tried it using different colours and mark making. For this one I used orange red and blue. I then used talcum powder to create the white sections which I think worked really well.

This is the first time I tried screen printing and ended up really enjoying the process. To start with I just practiced with a red background square that I could later print my Lino onto.

This is Steve Bennett , his main practice currently is in print making with lino. I like especially like the self portrait he did of himself, this is because of his use of colours. I lobe the contrast between the blue he has used for himself and the bold orange background which makes it stand out so much more. I also like how expressive he has been when using the tool as it looks like he really got into the flow of piece. This suggests to me that he wanted to portray himself with a more soft representation as the other pieces he has created use more harsh and more more carefully thought out shapes and lines
